A doe rabbit named Rabbit came for an appointment. The owners reported persistent purulent discharge from the eyes and hair loss under the eyes. Examination revealed obstruction of both lacrimal puncta, conjunctivitis, alopecia and dermatitis under the eyes due to ongoing discharge. The diagnosis was bilateral dacryocystitis.
The clinic performed catheterisation of the nasolacrimal system, topical treatment of affected skin, eye drops, and systemic antibiotic therapy. Rabbit returned weekly for nasolacrimal flushes for one month.

Within two weeks the owners noted clear improvement — eye discharge stopped, the rabbit gained weight and became more active. After one month of treatment the nasolacrimal system had returned to normal function.
